We recently decided to have our roof replaced after years of patch up repairs. After calling around numerous roofers in Edinburgh we decided on using Compass Roofing. I would just like to say that their standard of work and service is first class. From our initial contact they provided a clear and detailed schedule of work that was followed meticulously.

Superb work done at a very reasonable cost. In the past we'd employed another Edinburgh roofing company to fix our roof but they didn't sort things properly. Compass Roofing identified the cause of the leak immediately and fixed it without a problem. Happy with the level of service and cost they charged us and would without a doubt recommend them to family and friends.

After getting a variety of estimates, we went with Compass Roofing to replace our flat roof. Compass provided a reasonable price and then carried out the roofing in a quick and efficient timescale. The tradesmen were very friendly and professional. Compass completed the job to a good standard. Significantly, Compass's men left our property spotless .I would highly recommend Compass Roofing Ltd and their tradesmen if you need any kind of work doing on your property.

We had a few slates come loose from our roof after the recent bad weather . Rang Compass Roofing and arranged for them to visit us at the earliest time to replace them. They arrived early next morning and completed the work quickly and without any hassle. Extremely pleased with the service and cost. I found them on Edinburgh trusted trader.

Helpful and high quality repairs completed by Compass Roofing Ltd. They came and determined the condition of the roof gave us an estimate which we were pleased to proceed with. The repairs began that week and was completed to a excellent standard from what I can see. Everything was left tidy. We will be employing Compass again when required and definitely be recommending.

Excellent work - From original meeting and estimate to supplying a new flat roof. The tradesmen were on time with no problems. Their quote was 25% less than the other roofing companies we contacted. Its difficult choosing reliable tradesmen in Edinburgh but I would recommend Compass with no hesitation whatsoever.

I'd have no problem in suggesting Compass Roofing for any roofing jobs. They were on time and reliable and the work was finished within the given time and at the cost we agreed. The level of work completed was good. The staff were very professional. Overall a very solid job done by a professional company.

Called late one afternoon as part of our shop roof had come off in the storm, Compass Roofing came out in about 45 minutes to secure the roof and make it watertight overnight. Very impressed with the punctuality, communication and work completed. Would definitely work with Compass again.

After the recent high winds several slates on our roof had became loose and landed in our garden. We called Compass Roofing and they arrived at the time we agreed and fixed things without any problems.

This company has been my communal stairway's 'Roofer of Choice,' for some years but I am afraid I have lost my patience, hence this review. Their diagnosis of a leak in our roof was erroneous. They suggested it was a blocked sump. We paid for the sump to be repaired. The leak persisted. They came out again and advised a second sump might be a cause. They patched a portion of lead lined roof with silicon/mastic - pretty shoddy, cheap, didn't resolve. The leak persisted.A simple 2 hours check by myself found the issue. I'm not a qualified roofer. Why can't a Federation of Master Builders roofing contractor diagnose a fault that I found on my first visit up to a roof!? I would say at best, this demonstrates ineptitude. At worst it demonstrates a company trying to milk further work out of a sap.A further call out for a very minor repair resulted in a significant exploitation in pricing. £280 for one hours work, with 2 guys using no parts. that's £140 per hour per person. One guy pouring water down a drain, while the other passes him the buckets and holds the ladder. Doesn't seem very honourable to me. Profiteering. I paid it, and in return I reserve the right to tell you, dear reader, that was the outcome. And if it results in you scoffing at my stupidity but also convinces you to steer clear of this company then it was money well spent. I later learn they were paid proforma (ie in advance) to clean our skylight drains over the year, but did not.Further indication of their wilful duplicitousness. These guys are on the 'Trusted Trader' scheme and the Federation of Master Builders but I advise caution in contracting these people's services. Ineptitude, wilful duplicitouness and dishonour.On the issue of pricing and repeat business they cannot be singularly blamed. We have done this because of the ease in a shared stairwell of 'same as last.' Of course, that is our fault. But you know... it was because of a misguided sense of trust in this company, which has now gone, replaced only with anger and disappointment. To you reader, I say somewhat sarcastically, if you are happy to aggressively chase work to be carried out properly by your contractor, and are then prepared to check it yourself at risk to your own life (rather than naively trusting them to do the work properly in the first place as I did) then maybe these are the guys for you.

Regrettably, I have a fair amount of experience of roofing matters. I have used Compass for repairs on two occasions, and have been very impressed by their thoroughness. They have been awarded some big contracts in the city centre in recent times, which doesn't surprise me.

I always post under a pseudonym for privacy reasons but this is a genuine review for work done on our flat roof in Dudley Avenue, Edinburgh which was completed on Monday. We had a single ply membrane and insulation installed to replace our cold felt roof as well as a new cupola and skylight, some chimney pointing and guttering work done.Scott was great to deal with, from initial quote to completion, nothing was too much trouble and his team were the same. They kept us informed throughout the works and were very flexible with incorporating our curve ball request for a ventilation pipe for the bathroom. On the job they were cheery and cleaned up after themselves. We didn't have a completion deadline but the work was started quickly and done in around 18 days. The craftsmanship looks good and a guarantee is being provided. This is a professional company and I am happy with the work. The price was competitive and when our kitchen extension needs reroofed I'll be using Compass.
